Tanah Gajah, a Resort by Hadiprana welcomed the year 2022 with a whole day filled with exciting activities.
At Tanah Gajah, a Resort by Hadiprana, welcoming the year of 2022 was celebrated with exciting whole day activities starting with:
a cooking class where guests have a chance to experience how to make classic traditional Balinese sweet bites such as Dadar Gulung, guided by Tanah Gajah culinary team at Panen Padi Lounge with a view of rice paddy field.
Followed by a cocktail making class, guided by The Tempayan restaurant’s bartender. Guests had a chance to personally pick fresh herbs, edible garnish and fresh fruits at our organic garden, which were then shaken or stirred together with their favourite spirits into refreshing cocktails and mocktails, perfect to be enjoyed as a sundown companion.
Cultural activities such as Balinese dance and music introduction classes as well as Balinese offering making classes were also offered for guests who would like to learn more about the beauty of Balinese culture in a fun way.
Towards the evening, guests were invited to write their wishes for the year 2022 before taking part in a breathtakingly beautiful candle lighting ceremony where guests were escorted by troops of Balinese ladies and gentlemen through the rice paddy field towards a platform where guests may light a candle to symbolize that we can see a light at the end of the tunnel, as everyone went through a challenging 2021. The ceremony was beautifully presented with mesmerising Balinese gamelan orchestra in the background.
The ceremony ends at The Tempayan restaurant where ushers greeted them and sit them down for a 5-course dinner. Chef Dean has taken a different approach in his dessert presentation this year and came up with a strawberry dessert and sweet beverage that comes in a beautiful picnic basket. The idea was to give guests some freedom to choose a spot where they may enjoy the dessert. They could have it at the terrace or by the picnic table on the lawn overlooking the hot air balloon flights; or they may have their dessert while playing several games, at The Tempayan. The memorable evening went by so quickly with a lot of smiles and laughter, which makes a promising start to the year 2022.
